“Valued Customer” Scams!!!
This week, it is my turn. At first I got a call supposedly from the bank I have a saving account. The man who made the call told me that I am one of their “valued customer,” so as a generous gesture they are willing to offer me a housing loan. I was baffle as I have not applied for a housing loan. The deceiver called me almost an hour late than the normal banking hours. I tried to explain him I actually need a valid visa first, to live in the house they want me to buy from the loan he is ready to give. He was like those annoying robotic people who ‘talks’ when we call a service provider with a problem giving the same standard answers which just might be learned words.
Today it is another call. The woman claimed she is from the auto breakdown help service which I had registered last year. I heard her say agian I’m one of their “valued customers.” This time it is to talk about and offer a financial plan to save a lot of money for my retirement. My retirement! Oh god! Since when did these “rescue guys” changed their work to financial planners? According to the company website that I have registered for Auto Rescue Service, they do not offer such services and privileges to their members.
I wish someone would call me from the immigration department tomorrow, saying I am a “valued customer” and they have chosen to make me a resident. I would not try to explain myself then; instead, I may shout hallelujah and cry about it later with mixed emotions of happiness and sadness. That would certainly unblock my tear ducts for a change!
